Frequently Asked Questions

--Shipping--

How long will it take for my items to ship?

For items **not** labeled 'preorder' or 'made to order', they will ship from my location within 1-2 business days. For 'made to order' items, please check this website banner to find current order processing time. I primarily ship via USPS for domestic orders within the USA.

You have the ability to upgrade shipping at checkout if you'd like. Otherwise, items will ship by weight.

Per the USPS website:

First Class: 1-5 business days for mail, 1-3 business days for small package delivery
Priority Mail: 1-3 business days for delivery
Media Mail (books only): 2-8 business days for delivery

Once the item ships, is dropped off and in the hands of USPS, I am not responsible for any delays that may occur. I am not responsible for any lost packages.

PLEASE make sure you enter the correct address at checkout. The checkout system is able to help correct your address when entered. I am not responsible for incorrect addresses and I will ship to the address you have provided on your order.

What happens if my order is returned to sender?

If a package is returned to me for some reason (ex. buyer entered wrong shipping address at time of order) and a reshipment is requested, buyer is responsible for paying the shipping fee again. An invoice for the new shipping fee will be emailed to you and must be paid within 24hrs or the order will be cancelled. If order is cancelled, a refund will ONLY be given for the cost of the item, and will NOT include the original shipping fee paid at initial time of purchase.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes I do! The buyer is responsible for any customs or import fees. Shipping times vary by country.

Can you combine my orders and shipping?

Yes! I always combine your orders into one box and will refund any shipping overages you were charged. Sometimes there won't be any refund on shipping due to all the item weights adding up, which causes the price of shipping to change.

What if I need my order shipped faster than the current processing time?

I offer an order expedite fee for $10. PLEASE message me or email me with your order number to let me know the deadline you require. This will bring your order to the next one in my queue, or guarantee the order will leave my hands with enough time for your items to arrive before your deadline.

I will ship the order with the method you select at checkout (USPS First Class, Priority, etc). Based on the delivery estimates at the top of this page (published by the USPS), I will ship your item as soon as possible while taking into account the delivery estimates on your chosen shipping method.

For example, if today is January 1st and you need your items by January 15th.

If you choose USPS First class or Priority, I will ship the item no later than January 11th. (January 11th + 3 business days per USPS = January 14th)

Once the item ships, is dropped off and in the hands of USPS, I am not responsible for any delays that may occur. I am not responsible for any lost packages.

--Plush Toy Warning / Hazard Notice--

Plush toys are made with two-part plastic safety eyes. Children under 3 should be supervised when playing with this item.

All toys from That’s Sew Lacey have melted backs (inside the toy) to more permanently secure the piece. This reduces the chance of the plastic eyes being removed and becoming a choking hazard. However, caution should still be taken with children.

These items are also not advised for pets due to choking hazards.

This warning and hazard notice is available on all toy website listing pages and on paper within the packaging of applicable orders.

--Custom Orders--

Can I request a custom order?

YES! I'd love to hear what you have in mind. We can look at altering items I already make (colors, sizes, etc) or research a new item. Use the Contact links at the top menu to submit an inquiry and to discuss details.

If the item you are requesting requires me to purchase a crochet/knitting/sewing pattern that I do not currently have, the price of the pattern will be included in your order.

Any minor customization of an existing product (ex: color changes) that I already produce will not require this additional price.

--Patterns--

Can I sell finished items created from a That's Sew Lacey pattern?
